GNOME
Installing Nautilus scripts
There's still a wealth of scripts at g-scripts, but their installation advice dates back to Nautilus 1.0.5.
To install a Nautilus script on Nautilus 2.8:
- Save the script file to ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts/
- Make the script file executable<.
- Visit ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts/ in Nautilus.
Only when there is at least one executable script in that directory will you get the "Scripts" item in the File menu and right click menu that all the documentation talks about.
